2. Yep, I do.... amongst other things. More 'classic rock' these days..... ....and I've been playing 'Gene Simmons' in Europe's #1 KISS Tribute Band "Dressed To Kill" for 18 years....
3. Lovely stuff...... if that Eagle wasn't pink I'd have that off you in a second!
4. Cab-wise I can't get enough of my new Genz Benz Neox212T!! Incredibly lightweight, huge headroom..... and amazing full tone! Check one out through Bass Direct....
5.
When Warwick first started off they licensed the Streamer outline from Spector / Ned Steinberger (NS). I'm not privy to the details that ended that licensing agreement but Warwick ceased to be 'licensed by...' back in the 80's when they angled back their machine-heads and made a few subtle alterations
That's pretty much right. Basically, Stuart Spector/Ned Steinberger licensed the design to Warwick for a limited period. Warwick then sneakily stopped paying for the license and tried to get out of it by making a couple of very small changes (e.g. angle of tuners ). Ned/Stuart sued Warwick and it was settled out of court but basically Warwick got away with it to a certain extent. Funny thing is.... the original Warwick Streamers, which are basically Spector copies (with EMGs etc), are now among the most collectable and highly rated Warwicks. I've played many Streamers (& obviously numerous Spectors!) and have to agree that the early Streamers ARE excellent and compare favourably to the classic Spectors. I'm not a fan of Warwicks from the last 15 years though.....
6. If this is brown tort rather than red tort I'll have it please! PM me....
7. Ooh! VERY nice... C'est le sex!
8.
Geez, the guy's a great singer, songwriter, bassist and now he has a cool new bass. I have no reason for hating him at all
+1,000,000....... especially when he works with Tommy Shaw!
9. That's brilliant! Billy is such a great guy.... I've often talked to him by e-mail & he's been a gent every time I've met him.... Congrats & belated Happy Birthday!
10. I thought this sold on eBay?
11. Custom built for Jack Blades of Night Ranger..... White, gold and delicious looking! Me want!! Hamer porn
12. My wife is wonderful. Her life revolves around music too (she's a Music Therapist & plays piano, clarinet, guitar & sax) and she fully accepts that music and playing music keeps me sane. She answers all my music theory questions and I manage to regularly update my collection of basses without too much resistance. In fact she has in the past provoked me to buy a bargain Spector or two.... She can identify a Spector, Fender P, Fender Jazz, Rickenbacker and Stingray...... and points them out to me. She comes to many of my gigs, fully supports me & even packs down my basses and helps load the car/van. basically, she's great and I'm extremely lucky
13. Probably the most important thing is to remember..... THEY are auditioning for YOU just as much as you are auditioning for them! If they come across as rude, arrogant, obnoxious etc..... or if their music isn't up to much, then feel proud to say "no thanks" before they offer you the job/tell you where to go....
14. BUMPING a GREAT cab! Good luck!
15. Yep, Spector were distributed by Sound Control..... so they had basses from all different price points in.... Not any more though!
16.
Hi Guys, did anyone try or like the Glock head, I have the Heart rock and wondered what you thought of the Art. It was on my short list of gear to try but couldn't find one in the UK. Thanks.
I believe UK basschat member 'guiguite' may have one of these for sale?
17. Lovely stuff Mike! I'm gonna have to come around soon to play them!
18. This would be nice..... but just bought a different cab! Good luck!
19. If I hadn't just bought a GenzBenz 2x12 and already have a Mesa Diesel 2x15 I would be pulling your arms off for this....
