1. Biggest.... to 14,000 people at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo.... Smallest.... with a 6 piece band in a 'gangster' pub in Tolworth on a corner stage no bigger than a large dining table.... and with the punters packed in right up in our faces. Was a wonderful gig though!!
2. Goodbye To Love - The Carpenters Fabulous song.... and one of my fave guitar solos..... but probably best avoided!
3. Ah mate, you've discovered the 'secret' joys of the Tech21 Landmark! I LOVE this head..... it does every sound I want and especially excels in the grindy/gritty hi-mid classic rock sound.... As Ade says, I had the Landmark 300 and I sold it to him..... but only so I could buy the more powerful Landmark 600!! If you can hold a little while (crazy busy here at the mo) we can maybe get together and you can give my Landmark a trial run.....
4. Thanks Rickster! A Gotoh or a standard Fender bridge it is then....
5.
A stunning collection, well done for bringing together such a wonderful example of Stuart's companies work. I'm the proud owner of the first production Ns5XL (003), I'll post a few pictures when I take delivery of my custom Spalted Flamed Maple in October and kill two birds with one stone. Phil
Cheers Phil. look forward to seeing your Spectors in October then!
6. Great rig! I bet that destroys!!

8. Hey Gui! So glad you're using the 1x15. How's it all sounding?!?
9. What more can be said about the Dr? He carefully packaged up a lovely pickguard and lovingly wrapped some chrome knobs and despatched them quicksmart to Chez Cetera..... and all before my cheque had even cleared! What a top bloke!
10. Thanking you kindly Anyone else in the meantime?
11. Beautiful rig and a GREAT price! I can certainly recommend the Samson Wirless and Mesa Diesel cab from personal experience
12. Just wondering..... I'd like to fit one of those big 70's style Fender Jazz Bridge covers on my 'parts' jazz but I know it won't fit over the Badass II that I have.... Anyone know/have experience of which bridges will accept the cover (apart from the standard Fender jazz bridge)? I was thinking Badass III or maybe Gotoh?
13.
It would be a treat to see the Jackson Kip Wingers and the RJ & RS Peaveys.
I'll try my best.... but it may be a little while....

18.
Awesome Time to start collecting my Wicks again On a serious note! How much difference do you notice between the various (NT) Euro and USA models?
Cheers! There is a difference...... but I don't believe there's £2000 worth of difference! It's all about a higher grade of maple and hand finishing really.... Personally if I were to buy any more US Spectors they would be s/h ones from the 80's, either pre-Kramer or Kramer. Much better value for money and the chance of a HazLab preamp inside....
19.
Thank you for a great peak at your amazing collection I absolutely adore the white spectors, ever since i first saw the video to "forever" and gene plays one i totally fellin love, i also love the one he had in the "tears are falling" video cant remember if it was red or pink, ive played warwick for years as i couldnt afford an NS2 ive no excuse these days with the euro series, must try and get a white one. Thanks again-lee
Thanks Lee! Ah yes, Gene played an original 1983 NS2J in white (that's the model I have the limited reissue of) in the Forever video. In the Tears Are Falling video he used a 'porsche red' US Kramer NS2 with black hardware. That's one that's on my GAS list.....
20.
Which is your favourite?
It's really hard to choose..... many have different preamps (Tonepump, EMG, Aguilar, Spector, HazLab) and different feels to the neck.... The cherry sunburst pre-Kramer US NS2 is precious because it was my first Spector and it has the lovely HazLab preamp. The holoflash black US NS2 Custom is a fave because it is a very limited finish, hand built in the US workshop, has amazingly colourful abalone crown inlays & looks a million dollars under stage lights. The white Euros (Euro 4 & NS2JA-CR) are very special as they are brand new, mint and I've always LOVED white Spectors. The rest are all wonderful too..... what a question to ask..... it's like choosing your favourite child!
21.
I really like the original 1976 US Spector SB1! That's really unusual. What's the pickup? Looks a bit like a chrome Model 1? And how does that sound?
It's an original Dimarzio Model 1 I believe...... Larry DiMarzio had links to the same luthiers co-operative that sprouted Stuart Spector, Ned Steinberger, Vinnie Fodera etc..... It's got a nice full tone, though obviously being passive it's not as powerful as the other basses....
22.
Just out of interest, how many non-spector basses do you own?
At last count.... 24!
23. Lol! Bass AND Fence Overlords!!
