I recently swapped my Stingray 5 for Muya's (Giorgio's) Lakland DJ5. He posted it on Friday and I received it on Wednesday. It was exactly as he described it (spotless) and came with a Lakland hard case too. The sound from the single coils really cuts through and compliments my Stingray 4 beautifully. All in all, a good guy with exceptional product and fantastic service. Cheers mate!! If you're ever over in England again I'll buy you a beer.

His band I guess, so I'll give it a go with the Octaver and see how it sounds.

We watched their set and I've not laughed so much in ages. EVERY Rawk pose you can imagine was pulled!! They were God awful though

I've been asked to fill in for a month or so with a local indie-rock band (Pearl Jam, Queens of the Stoneage, Nirvana) and of the tracks they want to play is "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam. This is a new number, so their current bassist can't give me any steer at all. The intro is played on a (so I've been told) 12 string bass and unfortunately, I don't own one of these. I was thinking of trying to use my Octaver to replicate the sound, but wondered if anyone else plays it and what they use to get that unique sound.

Yeah it was great!! Can't believe that Marcus Miller, Pino Palladino AND John Myung all turned up. Never expected that.

I've just got it home and plugged it in....WOW. Sounded good before but the East preamp adds just a bit more definition to the sound. It looks amazing in the flesh too. Well happy

Well, it's arrived at work today but I've not had a chance to inspect it yet!! I'll let you know how I get on tonight.

Just out of interest (and certainly not trying to teach you to suck eggs) I get the same sort of sound from my amp when the batteries on my bass (Stingray) are dead or dying. I only mentioned it because it took me hours to work that one out and I was convinced it was the amp.
