Some members here would turn their noses up because the bassist hasn't got the exact tone for this or that etc etc, they even have a stand for some songs but I doubt they care what the musos think playing to a packed room of often advance ticket only punters!

1200 grit wet and dry, shape it around the neck and just do the playing area, you can bring it back to full gloss with a fine polish later if you sell it. I do like the satin on mine, I agree its less sticky than a full gloss and I've not needed to sand mine this time.

Looks a nice bass! For the record I have no issue with fake logos, I even put one on my Squier jazz, my issue with it compared to most situations was two fold, firstly Limelight like it or not are operating as a business regardless of the size of the company and that is just wrong for a company to do it, thats not my opinion its law, secondly people said they were clearly not trying to be passed off as fakes due to the logo on the rear logo, well I'm sorry a scribble in sharpie made to look a bit like the bass tech put it there to be able to tell one bass from another is hardly like a proper logo under the laquer declaring it as a copy.

Deleted my facebook about 9 months ago, I didnt like the way I could be talking say on here about something only to get a facebook suggestion about it a few days later! Nuked mine the whole hog, deleted every friend one at a time before pulling the trigger. I've not missed out on anything important that could be done via text either.

I think you could narrow it down to someone that fills in a tax return for income received from work of a musical nature, no tax return = hobbyist, (or tax dodger, I am saying nothing ) small tax return in comparison to other type of work's income or full time employment = semi pro.

I like a jumble up as long as they are good songs so do most people, its OK doing a great Motown* set in a Motown* venue or justa few Motown* songs in a set but try it at a party and 90% of the room will hate Motown* *insert genre of choice here.

Well as everyone has an opinion on set lists I thought it about time we had a set list thread? I am not worried about bands nicking our ideas, I did not write the songs and there isnt many anyone would want,Lol So general guidlines are a brief description of the band and then the set in order or just a list of what you have to fall on should you need it. What you say about the pickups is interesting, I did not try a 4 string when I bought my am Std a few weeks ago but as mine is a 5 string it did not get the 60s custom shop pickups so I presume they are the same (but 5 string) version of what you have there then?

The only reason that bass is not my go to covers band bass is the lack of a B string, I wish my USA Jazz V sounded as good as it, I still think I will end up with a preamp in mine to try and emulate that Squier Has is gained any alterations or is it still like it was when it was mine? what a huge sounding bass! It has seen some party band buffets with me over the years that little Jazz bass

Of course I forgot, I am meant to walk out during the sound check not the performance arent I, silly me! I have Crabtree chrome sockets throughout my house they work well with the Stingray but I find them a bit thin for the Jazz bass, thinking of fitting some screwfix plastic ones just in my practice room to see if the tone improves? Does anyone know which make of fusebox is best for metal?
