Respectfully, why is it always the sellers with the highest asking prices who make the least effort with their sales pitches?

Although I do agree with you to a certain extent (i.e. it’s not always the case) in your position as a moderator, is this not something that could be addressed? The stoopid ‘emoticon in the headers’ thing also annoys me. I don’t even bother looking at any listing that has them as I don’t want to deal with idiots. Just wondering if there could be some listing approval system with an option to reject if it doesn’t pass muster? Probably too much work to put on someone I would think.

Does anyone happen to be traveling between High Wycombe & Telford areas and willing to mule a bass? Long-shot but worth asking 🙂

Hello ped
i would like to post a topic about to looking for a bass i want to buy, is it allowed? and where to post it in Basschat?
I'm realy determined to find an Enfield Lionsheart or Cannon because it's the only bass that i want to have.
I know Martin Sims has stoped the production. The only thing he does are pickups built.
So i realy hope to find a second-hand Enfield bass and that's why i would like to post what i'm looking for about this
bass. So if you can help me to show me the place where i can add this topic into Basschat.
I'm sorry for my bad language, i'm french, anyway thanks in avance for your help.

Thank you everyone! Together we raised £8,560 which, with the non JG donation of £35, amounts to a grand total of £8,595. Most of the funds are already with Andy and the balance will be with him in the next few days.
Here's to Iris 🥰

Olympics closing ceremony music section and the bassists for Air and Phoenix have each played US Mustangs and each had a piece of black tape obscuring the Fender logo???

Just worked out "Mr Blue Sky", What a great bassline!

Yes it is. I’ve been playing it for a while now. It’s usually our last number before the inevitable encores. I was watching a live performance of Jeff Lynne’s recently (Glasto I think) and noticed that he’s simplified the end of the third chorus compared to the original recording. It’s one of my favourite parts of the song and wondered why he changed it.

Listening to Madness - great basslines.

Currently learning more Rush as well as working on improving my slap technique (obviously unrelated)

Note to self: in future, never ever ever get a Covid booster and a flu jab at the same time or in the same arm. Ouch, and moreover, ugh. 🤕😷

Never ever buying anything from BassDirect again. Purchased a Tech 21 YYZ pedal through their reverb store, paid for it and then got a message saying it's out of stock and been refunded but my refund will take 3-5 days to process which means I'm out of pocket until then and can't go purchase one somewhere else until that money is back in my account.

@ForbiddenWytch - because BD (and I'm sure they are not alone) have a history regarding stock management. It has been detailed here many times. I've no beef with them, but I know if there is something they say they have, I'll take a couple of minutes to ring them and buy it that way. Disregarding that, why involve a third party in the transaction when you don't have to. It just doesn't make sense to me.

I’m afraid it’s not @Rich. To be fair, there are thousands of plates that fall much further outside of the rules, so I probably wouldn’t worry too much about it. At least ANPR will be able to read your registration number (should it be stolen etc).

How do you find out how heavy a red hot chilli pepper is?
Give it a weigh, give it a weigh, give it a weigh now. -
Had a bit of an eye-opener on a bass-oriented Farcebook group this morning. My god, there are some selfish c**ts in this world.

Pick yourself up @Rich, the world is full of these morons unfortunately. They should absolutely be challenged, but I’d refuse to further than that as it’s a waste of time and effort. Nothing you can type will change the idiot gene. FWIW, I don’t suffer from epilepsy, but they give me a blinding headache and I rather not go to a show that features strobes excessively. There is so much more that can be done with lighting these days without resorting to them. Ridiculous to suggest otherwise.

Suggested a new song to the ska band earlier ("She's Kerosene" by The Interruptors). Sax player said she doesn't want to do it because there are no "nice chords".
WTF is a 'nice' chord?
