I thought i might post my findings along the way in order to help anybody with similar problems. So far i've found two other options: ampwedge: AER tilt system (similar to Markbass): I'll keep you posted on any other findings!
I've got an EA Wizzy 10 with a sprung handle on the bottom, so I can confirm that they do work OK as a tilt-back mechanism. It does spring back with a loud clack when you lift the cab though.
That's easily fixable with a bit of sponge and some double sidded duct tape! Looks like the cabinet handle is on top of the list but i have a little time before i actualy need to assemble the tilt so i'll keep looking! Do you think that if i was to send an e-mail to Ibby they would help me to find one? I have no experience with their customer support... Cheers

Hi Laurence. To me it looks like that one doesn't lock on the open position, only stops but i'm probably wrong... I've foud this like the one i had in me Genz Benz STL-12 cab: http://www.tchweb.com/tchstore/product/503-1570/c900/Recessed-Retractable-Tilt-Foot.html But i would like to avoid anything recessed. I'm going to keep looking for the maker of the Ibanez tilt system, if i find anything i'll let you know

Thanks for all replies. The MB seems to be well regarded but i want an even easier solution, fixed to my cabs. Here are some poor quality pics of the Promethean's:
Isn't that just a recessed flip handle? Something like these: http://www.bluearan....=Sprung_Handles EDIT: I see it's non-recessed. There are some surface-mount sprung handles on there, looks like a 90 degree stop on the Promethean
Yes, it's exactly like you described but it fixes the handle in the 90 degree at the same time. Tonight i'll take a picture of the one in my Promethean's cab.

Thanks for the tip Clarky but i don't trust it. I want to tilt the top cab like i did with my Promethean rig: I was looking for something like the system in the Promethean to install in one of my new cabs. Cheers

Hi Does anybody knows where can i order one of these to mount in one of my cabs? I've searched e-bay and all the usual musicstores but haven't found one. Thank you! Cheers

Ok, time for my review. I must say i'm well surprised by this cab. Very light, well buildt and great finish. The first thing i've done to it was to take it appart and see the quality of the components. Everything looked in good shape, not top notch material as we would suspect from a low-budget cabinet but very well put together with no visible flaws. Nice solders, good placing of the damping, very professional looking, only 4 screws securing the driver when it has 8 holes (), no paint flaws, tolex well glued, rough handle... The only thing that caught my eye was the cone of the Eminence driver. The paper was very rough and looked a bit like recicled paper (LOL), it wasn't as smooth as other cones i've seen... The lack of a speakon connector on the back pannel is a big flaw IMV. Soundwise i've got nothing to report. A very articulate and defined sound. Surprising lows for a Neo cab. The tweeter could use a pot instead of the 3 position switch but with it flat (-6db) i get pretty decent highs, with it on full it gets a little harsh. It's not a high-end cab in terms os power-handling (250-300W max) but it handled my Shuttle 9.0 without farting during a three hour gig with volume around 13-14 o'clock. I did two gigs with the cab alone and one with my 1x10" added, i can say that this is not for a one cab solution live if you play with a moderate loud drummer, for smaller things it handles the gig easily. Today i'm ordering a twin, after trying other high-end cabs (GB, Epi, Shroeder, MB, TC) i find that this cheap cab ticks almost every one of my boxes (i'll be installing a Speakon connector on the backplate - plenty of room to do it - and i'll be replacing that hedious metalic grill with some good old vintage grill cloth). It's a 12"er with front porting, tweeter and can be placed on it's side leaving the tweeter on top and the port on the bottom. The side handle could have been recessed though... My opinion is to try one (or two) of these, They worth it! Probably next time i get back to this thread i'll be gigging with a different rig... this GAS!!!

I've got one of these sitting in my room, it arived today and tomorow will be giged. I'll let you know how it sounded after he brakes in. First impresions are of a nice, light and clean sounding cab, maybe a bit of a vintage colous going there but i'll know better after it breakes. You can draw some good bottom out of it if you place it on the floor but it looses some when lifted (neo cab problem). After tomorow i'll be deciding if i'll get another 1x12 or the 2x8 cab for a cheap, light but reliable rig to go under my Shuttle 9.0. Volumewise i can't find it lacking power, we all should know by now that the shuttles 900W are more like 500Wish so i believe i won't be harming the cabs. More info in a couple of days!
Maybe you were looking for something like this one?
I don't know... is that a Midget T?!!

Sorry but i couldn't find a midget picture looking like i wanted: But given the cab's name (Super12) i believe this can't be seen as offtopic I can't see home-made in this pic but but i would be the first to point any faults if that would make Alex lower his prices and sell the cabs cheap! Cheers
There is the Earthwood:
Ah! You beat me to it! When i read the OP i thought imediatly in it. I still want one but they don't come up much often and when they do they're not cheap! An alternative is to get a Mariachi bass:

Use these guys: http://www.worldwide...services.co.uk/ I've just sent in a couple of RCF tops from UK using this site and only payed £20 for each package (aprox 20kg each) and it came by DHL! From all my searches these are the cheaper services. If you want to send pics this is my e-mail: marcorreia.bass [at] hotmail.com Cheers Marco edit: i've made a quick simulation on the shipping cost using aprox size and weight and they quoted me for £15... i wonder if Royal Mail (or parcelforce) are cheaper for smaller packages... let me know as soon as you have a quote -

I've listened to them in person, my preference goes to the Schroeder due to it's mix cutting ability. I'm not much into a big bottom end, in fact i always try to grt rid of any boom in my sound and keep the low-mid part intact to fill my sound. As for the sound quality of the recording i think it is irrelevant because all cabs are being captured by the same mic and put trough the same processing. I've listened to the vid with my PC hooked in to my bass amp (therefore i could listen to every available freqs), it's true that you can't feel the original tone/kick of each cab but the sound you're hearing lets you get the right idea of the type of sound from each cab. Cheers
Your English is better than mine Shame you're not into Warwicks, I'd offer mine to trade otherwise! Good luck getting what you're after
Thanks, i'm very satisfied with my TRB and i would only put it away for a Ken Smith Black Tiger but funds are tight. The W sound is too artificial for me, i'm more into hi-fi. W's have a nice but very particular sound... either you love it or hate it! I can also sell the bass but from the prices i've seen on other topics i would be taking a huge hit on it's value... but if anybody's willing to grab this up for... let's say... £850 shipped i'll let it go. I prefer the trade though, i'm looking at the Sandberg for far too long ( a California PM5 with maple fb in tobacco burst and black pg wolud make me a very happy bunny!) Cheers -
[s]Hi, i have this bass up for a trade. It's in good condition but it shows the normal giging wear: https://picasaweb.go...485395034854226 I've got this on another trade, i'm not in to W sound so it must go. It has a nice fretboard, i have it with an obscene low action and no fret buzz, all electronics are free of static noise and there are no major dings on the bass. The only thing to notice is behind the neck pocket tou can see where the two pieces of wood were glued on, it doesn't go all the way trough the wood, just 1-2mm in the deepest place. I've asked some friends about it and they told me this was usual on W bases... i tried to catch that on pic. It goes strung with a new set of D'Addario Prosteels, if you don't like the clanky sound of super bright steel you should get a set of Warwick strings for it. From what i've been told it has Wenge body and neck. The neck is straight, no curve or warp even with the strings off! I'm looking for trades for a Sandberg California PM5 (maple fretboard has preference). International shipping is in order, the bass is in Portugal and i'll ship to Europe. Shipping costs will be supported by both parties! Direct sale for £850 shipped is also available![/s] Sold, thanks! Thanks for looking and sorry for the english Cheers
