Deep Impacts have a unique sound, but the hype has just got ridiculous now. The reason I've been watching them is because I've been thinking of selling mine. The convenience of having a synth pedal on the floor has become far outweighed by how much better my Micro Korg sounds.

I've been watching Deep Impact synths on ebay lately and I've seen them go for around £350-£450 over the past few weeks. They're technically 1/4 Japanese but they have that Japanese "charm" about them that comes from the singer. They're one of those bands that change a lot from album to album. I think they've released 11 albums, so there's a lot to get through. However... Friend Opportunity and Offend Maggie are standout albums IMO. Check out [b]Toe[/b]. Their album 'For Long Tomorrow' is a thing of beauty! It's not prog. It gets dubbed post-this and post-blahblahblah, but who cares.. it's a good'n.

I have only played the regular TRB's, but I've always been very impressed by the low B on them. It's definitely worth a try based on that alone, although I haven't tried the exact model you're talking about.

just make sure you don't run your flux capacitor out of phase or it will end with a big bang and lots of tears.

The feedback loop is an interesting part of the pedal, if you've got a fuzz and a delay in the loop you can get some great feedback tones.

In 10 years of owning a TU2 it never occurred to me that it could be used as a signal splitter. That's quite a handy thing to bare in mind when putting together a pedal board

The low B is outstanding. I have a 6 string TRB and I've found it to be great bass all round, I couldn't recommend those TRB low B's enough!
