  1. Does the rig behind fold down into the cases too? If so, I will buy one 😎
  2. Cheers for the reply. No, I'm not intending on using for a bass speaker, rather use them for PA for a small jazz band. I've owned these for years but not used them much. Hopefully the new crossovers I've ordered will help extend the life of these PA speakers!
  3. Thanks Bill, elecs not my strongest point so a ready made unit is best
  4. Cheers, many thanks. Looks like I've got a small project on my hands! 😁
  5. Yes, they are working. They seem to have two jack inputs which seem to do the samr thing. Here is the other one..
  6. Hi, I have some old Carlsbro PA speakers. I'm trying to work out the ohms of each. The Celestion speakers are BL400x and are marked up as 8ohm. The tweeers are only labelled as APT super tweeer no. 0103. What I need to know is what each cabinet is in terms of ohms (combined tweeter and celestion). Cheers Greg
  7. Welcome on board Bill!
  8. Welcome on board Nick!
  9. Does anyone know of any Double Ball End (5) strings with tapered or exposed core B. For 34" scale. Cheers Greg
  10. Hi, If you make your main living through playing the bass, then feel free to like and contribute to a new FB page. https://www.facebook.com/ProBassUK/ The page is public resource designed to be an efficient and easy way to locate professional bass players (search by county). There are other 'groups' on FB, but these are either quite bady run, cluttered with other information or aimed at a wide range of playing ability. Hope this helps. Cheers Greg

  11. Hi, what is the location please?
  12. Cheers Cameron, I've seen these but really want a padlock or something more secure, such as a numeric lock or key
  13. Hi, Somewhere I've seen a neck hanging style wall bracket with a lock (padlock). Has anyone got one or can send me any links? Thanks in advance
  14. If you are using a velcro board, get a thin strip of velcro and loop over the knobs oneach pedal. Easy to change settings if you want.
  15. Rip. Such a friendly and intelligent individual. He will be missed.
  16. FYI - the Diago website says "Sorry, this website is now closed"
  17. Has anyone had a new unit sent to them yet? I did the online form etc and have heard nothing back at all. The landline number on their website is disconnected and the mobile number goes straight to answer phone. I'm gigging in Poole soon so I might pop by and see if the business is actually still open.
  18. Sorry everyone, when I first posted I had some time to arrange. I'm just too busy playing and teaching to arrange this.
  19. Probably won't be actual maple, more likely an photo image of maple.
  20. Great show on Saturday, but can't go today because of an afternoon jazz gig. Good points... Room dividers really helped with the sound. I actually spoke to suppliers without using quasi sign language / pointing. Some fab exhibitors, many of which had really enthusiastic staff. Great master classes and talks. Gary Willis was on form, and the highlight of the day for me. Bad points... Overpriced crap coffee. Lack of exhibitors again. Eg. Status, Overwater etc etc. You know, some British exhibitors at what is a British show! The many people who took the opportunity to play a slap chop they'd been learning all year just for this moment. Gee wiz, each to their own but you don't have to crank up every single amp up to the max as you go round the exhibition. Some people wanted the show to be named after them!! All in all though , another good show. If I am free next year I'll be back. Maybe we can have a BEST OF BRITAIN room? Greg
  21. Hi, My spare / small gig amp is an EA doubler. Over the past few gigs I've noticed that it is taking longer to power-up. It used to power-up (lights and fully functioning) within 1 sec or so, last few gigs have taken 5 to 10 secs, and now I am just packing for a gig later and it took 30 secs to power up! Its only my back-up amp tonight, but is there an 'easy' fix? If not it'll be off to my usual repairer. P.s. Once its on it works 100% fine - so its more annoying than anything and I don't want to make matters worse (i.e. total failure). Thanks Greg
  22. Hi, what is the scale length please? And weight and string spacing. Thanks, Greg
