This added device means a much greater angle can be obtained when using by itself on the floor. I have used this many times for double bass jazz gigs to angle the speaker up like a monitor. The stand folds away when not in use and could be removed easily. The cab is in good condition. The rubber around the top handle is worn but the handle is metal reinforced and thus still fully functional. I have tried to locate a replacement, but I have not found one in the UK. One of the jack inputs has lost it’s plastic nut, speakon and jack inputs all ok. Mine is similar to most of the suggestions above, but with the additional of... small soldering iron kit (yes, this has been used a couple of times) aux lead to 3.5mm jack and I keep my PL and PAT documents in their too.

I had previously gone to several bass shows, typically taking along at least a car/van full of degree students with me. The show's coincidence with the busy start of a new academic year combined with an afternoon gig on the Saturday meant that I was unable to attend, so I gave it a miss this year. I was dubious anyway with the guitar/bass amalgamation, so hopefully the points highlighted above will be resolved / improved for next year's show. Personally, I hope that the date will change too, preferably back to the Spring (fingers crossed).

Oh, and I forgot to add... Jon made a P and also a J neck for me. Long story, but essentially I couldn't decide what was the best option! Currently running it with the J neck.

Cheers for the reply. No, I'm not intending on using for a bass speaker, rather use them for PA for a small jazz band. I've owned these for years but not used them much. Hopefully the new crossovers I've ordered will help extend the life of these PA speakers!

Hi, I have some old Carlsbro PA speakers. I'm trying to work out the ohms of each. The Celestion speakers are BL400x and are marked up as 8ohm. The tweeers are only labelled as APT super tweeer no. 0103. What I need to know is what each cabinet is in terms of ohms (combined tweeter and celestion). Cheers Greg
