The QC is good at adding a little more/less gain to captures (did this for guitar rather than bass but same rules I suppose) haven’t tried it with these NAM in the anagram as they come with 3 distortion levels to pick from as you’d expect so little need. Although I don’t think you’d get good results anywhere taking a clean capture and trying to gain it up to distortion

To be fair it takes some beans to distort a 300W SVT on its own

You'll be looking at the oddly named. P5 4-string. They're very good basses. -
Thanks. No nitro finish here anyway. I found some 91% alcohol IPA. I guess I can find a cotton cloth / old t-shirt. You wouldn't use a soft paper hand towel even on flats?

That's interesting. My impression was that they were very similar to La Bella 760xx. -

In fact, they sound like the Thomastik JF, without the high price tag and their super smooth touch, and with more tension, of course. -
This is what I mean by "mistake" - as in, not working as intended. It feels like such an obvious omission that it can't be intended

Had a GK1001RBii and couldn't take to it. Was very loud but just couldn't get a sound i liked. Dave

I have a Status Shark Pro-active sunburst 4-string. Great bass, plays well. Set up as a piccolo but I've not played it for years. Probably because the piccolo set came with an unwound 'G' which feels weird.
-
-
Used to play that in early 80's and loved it then and that's a great version of it. Very nice indeed and that sound effect works really well with it. Great to see a 3 piece band cover songs like this. Dave

Not arguing with that at all, I’ve captured most of my stuff at a variety of settings to get the widest range of useful captures. Again not questioning the quality of the model, purely pointing out that Id expect a capture to have at least some breakup when pushed. Possibly depends on what input signal was used to train it I guess though.
