Holes by the pick-up are for a cover, metal strip is how they used to do the earth (would also have been covered). -

Just picked up this beauty, a 1987 reissue of a JB-62. I'm partly just posting here to show off, of course, but also because it has a couple of weird features I haven't seen before and I'm curious if anyone knows what they are. First, the metal strip running from bridge pickup to bridge (that line is not painted, it's literally a piece of metal embedded in the body). And second the two small holes either side of the neck pickup. See the third photo for closeups.

Looking at a few more (like this one) and the Andy Baxter one it does seem to be a deeper imprint. Making the one on the left look less authentic!

Yeah, that 'L' is a bit strange. Not seen one like that before. Maybe the serial stamper had been down to the pub that afternoon!

Purchased at the end of March this year, in mint condition, used a few times but just not for me. Comes complete with genuine Boss soft carry case and Boss power adapter. Will also chuck in the USB cable which you can use to connect to a PC. £200 plus postage from the I.O.W-

I guess you meant how much would I pay for this? Hard to tell has I would need more data, more detailed photos and check this neck a lot more.

All good thanks Steve. Still got the Ultra Jazz, got tempted to swap it for something with a bit more of a subtle finish, but so glad I kept it. recorded with it recently and it sounds brilliant. Hope you are good too. -

Yamaha Motion MB – III medium scale bass Had this little bass on offer a few months ago but ended up keeping it as I needed a bass for a gig that involved flying (it fits in a guitar gigbag). Really great bass for the money with a big sound and easy on the shoulders. · Body: Basswood · Neck: Maple · Fingerboard: Rosewood · Pick up: Humbucker (Passive) · Neck joint: Bolt-On · Nut width: 39mm · Number of frets: 24F · Weight: ≈ 3.5kg · Control part: 2 Volume / 1 Tone · Scale: 32" / 813mm (Medium Scale) Its from 1988 so it does have some marks here and there but nothing too bad. Everything works great and the frets are really well dressed. Can take a very low action. Its strung up with medium scale Thomastik Jazz Flatwounds that are a great match, it kicks butt! What do you do with an amp that doesn't have one? That's right. Turn up the knobs you're used to and play using your ears like normal. Who takes any notice of a flickering needle anyway at any point? I like Ashdown gear but tbh its just another gimmIck to worry about. Just ignore it and play, bro. -
