Daft question (which has probably been answered in these 26 pages, I tried searching - honest!) - see the tuners are mounted facing each other (as in the E and G are mounted "upside down") - is that so that when the bass is strung up properly (with the strings following the path of least resistance and winding on the tuner on opposite sides), you still turn the tuners the way one would expect on each side of the headstock?

Sorry, it's one of those questions where your gut is screaming the answer at your brain, and your brain is going "hold on, gut, I need to give this some more thought"...

Yup, that's exactly it.

However, it is surprisingly easy to get the string routing wrong and end up with randomly turning tuners. 🙄

Hee hee, I joined the club, and it's all this thread's fault (only kidding, I've been well aware and curious about these beasties for many years)

Proper NBD later, but here's a starter for 10.  I think it's a 310, it's a 1991 model and it has a Glockenklang preamp in it.

No - not even close.

I'm maybe being silly here - do the OG knobs not look like this?

Or have I got the wrong end of the stick completely?  Have I gone snowblind by looking at many pictures?

All of mine have had chromed, knurled, dome-top knobs in some sort of metal.

I've never had/played one with tapered plastic knobs.

Well, that'll explain the "not even close" comment :D

I think these ones look pretty similar to my untrained eye.  Bit of a square pin in a round hole situation, being that they're press fit and the Glockenklang pots are solid shaft, but I'll see what I can come up with...

These were mine (over the years):

SB310FL - cylindrical black plastic with a distinctive top, mainly flat but 'chamfered' down on one side.

SB325 - lousy photo but these were the same knobs as the SB310 (above)

How many do you need? I’m sure I have a couple

All 4, and thanks for the offer but I'd rather muller some Musiclily knockoffs than some OG knobs because I'm going to be making press fit knobs work with solid shaft pots :D
