My music appearing in a film! (A Bit Of Tom Jones)

Hey everyone!

My band is going to be on the soundtrack of a Welsh comedy called A Bit Of Tom Jones starring Eve Myles from Torchwood!

A mellow tune called Blue Sunday can be heard in this trailor. It's the second tune with the double bass intro (that was the first time I ever played a double bass!).

I think we have two or three tunes on it altogether.

We're pretty chuffed about it! It looks like a pretty good film too.

Congratulations mate! That's fantastic! What a buzz :) Looks really good too, will it be on terrestrial TV?

I remember the shock, and the buzz, I got when watching Long Way Round with Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman and one of my band's numbers was played on the soundtrack. Wonder if any album sales were generated from that, somehow, I doubt it, but you never know!

Nice one mate.

The engineer who is going our album at the moment recorded the music for the band who did the music for this ad:

Believe it or not, this was recorded live at a gig.

Thanks guys.

The film will be showed at the Taliesin Arts Centre in Swansea on November 9th. It should be coming out on DVD too.

PS, was playing the clip on my laptop and my wife and daughter heard the dialogue and accused me of watching a porno![/quote]
Ha ha! Sorry about that!

So... I went to the Leicester Square premiere of A Bit Of Tom Jones last night.

It was a great feeling being in a cinema watching a film and hearing yourself on the soundtrack. It was weird seeing my name in the end credits though!!! :)

It's not a bad film at all. In fact it's very funny. I was laughing out loud in places. I'd definitely recommend it.

Anyone else had their music in films, TV shows adverts etc?

Strange World.

My wife came home from work telling me about this film about Tom Jones c*ck.

Apparently the film is going to be massive.

I don't know whether Tom's c*ck is though? :)
