I love them & have two (in Gretsch-style orange & dark blueburst) - having a clearout at the mo so might have one of these up for grabs soon actually... B. B.[/quote] Well, I was only posting Epiphone's claim and I don't want to be defending them but... If you read the blurb in the link it's not a piezo and the magnetic pickup is unusual too. They are on the Thomann site at £550.79 for fretted and £590.20 for fretless. Really like the look of this - I'd love a [url="http://www.roballenguitars.com/Deep2.html"]Rob Allen Deep 4 bass[/url], but it's way over my budget - looks like the Epiphone could be a decent substitute. Another guitar in the hollowbody marked that's worth considering is the Dean Rhapsody. It's not the usual Dean fare. Their website leads me to believe that they don't make a standard, 4-string, fretted guitar anymore. They only have fretless, 8-string and 12-string on there. They have only the one pickup, but it sounds good, and obviously where and how you pick plays a big part in the sound. Worth finding the 4-string fretted version second hand, though. Although with Epiphone don't expect too much accuracy with Delivery times. Be patient and every Tom, Dick and Harry will have them. If you buy from Germany and it arrives f***ed, or you decide you don't like it, you'll have to ship it back at your cost (initially), if you try it in a shop near you, you'll enjoy the experience a whole lot more. If it's £25 difference, it's £25 well spent. Trav[/quote] That's strange because there was an [url="http://www.provide.net/~cfh/epiphon2.html#trium"]Epiphone Triumph from 1931 to 1970[/url]: Ok, so it was a 6-string not a bass but still Epiphone's name and I guess the reason they called this one the Triumph II.
