Favourite album of 2025

What's been your favourite new album of 2025

I was thinking earlier and the amount of really good releases this year made it a tough choice but I think it has to be Thirst by Slow Crush.

As well as my favourite new album of 2025, I think it could be my all time favourite shoegaze record.

 

A single flower by We Lost The Sea, Gargantuan by Amplifier, Dust Eater by Dimscua and Cutting the throat of god by Ulcerate were also highlights

My favourite album of 2025 was 'NOBODY'S GIRL' by Amanda Shires, just a superb release

I think the only album I bought in 2025 that was made/released in 2025 was God of Angels Trust by Volbeat, so by process of elimination it has to be that.

Probably either May The Bridges We Burn Light The Way by Omnium Gatherum or An Insatiable Violence by Cryptopsy (listener discretion advised on that one). But after a very strong end to 2024 for my specific favourite artists it's been a pretty quiet year for new releases.

sadly it wasn't to be the year for the new Anthrax album. fingers crossed for this year lol
