Mudpup Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 Warwick Red Nickels at Bax Music for under £4 Be aware that the .135 B string is 'challenging' to get into the ferrule on Cort string thru designs. Should be ok on a normal bridge though. (Or throw the B away and just use them as a 4 string set of course) Warwick 46301 M Red Strings Nickel-Plated Steel 5-String Low | Bax Music https://share.google/6a8rldbG7NIeGN4ah 1 Quote
Mudpup Posted December 30, 2025 Author Posted December 30, 2025 And also Dunlop Super Bright Nickel 5 string sets under £13 https://www.bax-shop.co.uk/electric-bass-guitar-strings/dunlop-dbsbn40120-super-bright-nw-light-40-120-5-string-bass-guitar-strings Quote

Delberthot Posted yesterday at 18:41 Posted yesterday at 18:41 (edited) Just received my order through today. Does this look right to you? They're the same strings but in 2 different styles of packaging Edited yesterday at 18:42 by Delberthot Quote

Used these strings a lot before switching to NYXLs, was always the top packaging but perfectly possible they've changed, could even be why they selling them cheap. Quote
Delberthot Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Ive emailed Dunlop to see if they can shed some light on it. I don't mind if they've changed the packaging depending on how long ago it was Quote
lemmywinks Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago (edited) Seems to be their new packaging design: https://www.jimdunlop.com/super-bright-stainless-steel-bass-strings-40-120-5-string/ Edited 21 hours ago by lemmywinks Quote
