TeresaFR Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I'm curious whether there are any basses out there that combine all three of these characteristics, and not simply one or two? There are clearly a growing number of multiscale headess basses, but I've never heard of any that were also neck-thru - maybe there's a technical limitation that would prevent such a construction method? So, I thought I'd ask all of you; does such a bass exist, and if not, is there a scientific reason why not? Thank you. Quote
itu Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago No, there are no technical limitations. This has all the features you asked for: https://www.kdbasses.com/basses/rev-ii-5-string-multi-scale-headless/ Quote
MichaelDean Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Overload Guitars in Italy do them too. https://www.overloadguitars.com/basses Quote
Wolfram Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago They are a rare beast, but absolutely no technical reason they can't be made. Kiesel's Vader Bass ticks all the boxes with the right configuration, and if you go custom built then Sei and Shuker definitely make them, as I'm sure could many other luthiers. Quote
