bawjohnson Posted July 16 Posted July 16 Picked up the combo a few weeks back and happened upon the cab a few days ago having given up hope of ever finding the matching set - love, love, love this thing! punchy TE sound in spades, plus it glows under UV 👽 1994 vintage 7 Quote
Clarky Posted July 16 Posted July 16 Very cool and I bet it sounds incredible ... but makes me think of chiropractor, lol 1 Quote
BassmanPaul Posted July 16 Posted July 16 (edited) You're going to have to play some thin notes to get them through that narrow slat!! I saw one of those combos in a music store here in Toronto many years ago. I always thought that it looked a bit odd. Enjoy your new toy. Edited July 16 by BassmanPaul Quote
Chienmortbb Posted July 18 Posted July 18 The BLX130 is the one amp I regret selling and I sold it because,,,, I could not find the extension cabinet. Quote
Hellzero Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Sounds good with a passive bass à la P-Bass, way too nasal for other basses and never try a fretless with it : all the cats will leave the neighbourhood. I had 3 or 4 over the years, including a brand new one when it was released, but always ended up selling them because of that nasal tone, and the weight too, especially nowadays. Quote
knirirr Posted July 18 Posted July 18 I sold mine (eventually) via this forum, during one of the lockdowns, for a lot less than the £404 I paid for it in 1994. Though it never failed to provide sufficient volume I definitely don't regret selling it; the weight was far too much. Quote
stewblack Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Congratulations. Brilliant amps, wonderful sound, way more power than you imagine it should have. They sounded awesome back in the day and they still sound awesome now Quote
