Kiwi Posted July 16 Author Posted July 16 Yes, it's possible. I'm going to make fretless and 22 fret fingerboards a no-charge option for this batch just to say thanks for your support and trust. 1 1 Quote
Phaedrus01 Posted July 18 Posted July 18 PM Sent, as someone who has 3 graphite necks and didn't think it was realistic to get any more with how rare they are now, this is brilliant! 1 Quote

Blartfactor10 Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Stick me down for a Jazz, I’m wondering if the extra fret would be on a fingerboard extension? If so, count me in for a 21 fret if possible. (If not 20’s ok) Please let me know where to send the deposit. I have a Status MM neck on a sterling body (poor man’s Cutlass) and it’s a great instrument. Quote

Are the 21/22 fret fretboards using an extension, thus they will bit a standard 20 fret design body rout? Also, do we have any indications of the exact headstock shape @Kiwi? And yes, I’d love one but I’ve 30 years of debt that says it ain’t gonna happen any time soon. Wanna buy a 7 string? 1 Quote

Yes they wil use an extension so that the heel will fit a stanrdard neck pocket for a 21 fret neck. The PEEK fingerboard is harder than wood. 6 hours ago, Dood said: Also, do we have any indications of the exact headstock shape @Kiwi? It'll be Fender shaped. 6 hours ago, Dood said: And yes, I’d love one but I’ve 30 years of debt that says it ain’t gonna happen any time soon. Wanna buy a 7 string? Your six is pretty sweet. It gave me buyers remorse at one point. 6 hours ago, Blartfactor10 said: Stick me down for a Jazz, I’m wondering if the extra fret would be on a fingerboard extension? My 6er gets to stay, it is an extraordinary instrument that’s for sure, but some things have to give and I’ve already spoken to Jon S about my 7. Maybe one day I’ll be able to commission a new “doodle”. Quote

I just realised an error - the fingerboards will have a 21 fret extension because Fender necks are 20 fret not 21. I've edited the spec in the original to the correct number. Quote

Thank you for the update and correction. 1 Quote
