What’s the neck profile like? it's a flat ish fingerboard, 38mm wide at the nut not too shallow and quite nice actually Feels like my Northwest guitars jazz neck I will roll the fingerboard edges I've just had another little noodle on it, it's actually very good acoustically loud and good sustain I know relics are loved and hated but I'm not taking out vintage guitars anymore, so this fullfills the job Quote

PaulThePlug Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Nice, budget bitsa's are always fun. Just goes to show what an Ali Express neck and a Tone rider pup can give you. 1 Quote

molan Posted yesterday at 16:30 Posted yesterday at 16:30 I’ve had a go at something similar, and for the same reason! Mine was based on the Lakland Clayton P style signatures. US body, McIntyre J neck, some vintage hardware I had kicking around and a US custom wound pickup - must track down my invoice for that as it was quite expensive! Quote
police squad Posted 15 hours ago Author Posted 15 hours ago I didn't know he played a Lakland P type Looks very cool Quote

The bottle with the little sponge applicator. If the wood has a fresh ding, just blob the polish on, let it set up for a few minutes, wipe it off. Dries in seconds. 2 Quote

It’s a custom wound Curtis Novak. Sounds clean and crisp with the tone wide open and punchy / growly with it wound off. Responds really well to subtle changes in how hard you play with fingers. In that closed position it can deliver a really smooth, full, sound if played with care and then turns into a bit of a rock monster if you hit the strings harder. Perfect for moving from Bad to Beautiful Day or those classic U2 slower songs that build and build to a more aggressive climax. I gigged it last night and really liked it! 1 Quote
