Pea Turgh Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Hola peeps. Got a hankering for something a little nicer than the charity shop Hohner I have at the moment, but no idea where to start. Any particular brands/period of construction/country of origin I should keep an eye out for? Quote
haruki Posted March 31 Posted March 31 I'd say aim for solid woods (rather than a ply). I'd suggest an Alhambra... they have a huge range in price from learners to professional models but I've found them them to be reliably made and sound good. If your anywhere near London a trip to the London Guitar Studio is worth it (I assume its still open) 1 Quote

ezbass Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I bought an Alvarez hybrid 15 months ago. Really good value for money, plays nicely and sounds good (even better with a new set of Augustine Reds). Needed a little fret end attention, but very pleased with my purchase. 1 Quote
songofthewind Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Yamaha NTX3 player here. Nicely made hybrid that plays very well, with a slightly thinner body that a regular classical. The pickup system is very good, with subtle but useful EQ. 1 Quote
