DrBike Posted March 1 Posted March 1 I was looking at these with the thought of having a super compact gigging pedal board incorporating the Black Box or Pocket Master probably in combination with a couple of pedals and DI into the mixer. My idea was to tape/velcro the Pocket Master to the underside of the pedal board and run the 1/4" out to a DI box to get a balanced feed to the mixer. If the built-in effects are good enough I'd maybe use them and switch effects on and off via Bluetooth (probably one of the MVave Chocolate variants). Quote
madshadows Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Bought a Sonicake Pocket Master yesterday from Amazon as it was on special offer for £42.49 (still is at the moment) and it arrived last night. What a fantastic unit, great sounds/tones for it for bass guitar & six string electric guitar (although there's only 5 bass presets but you can overwrite some of the guitar ones if you want), it's terrific when you pair the unit with the software available from the Sonicake website for android mobile phone making it easier to change the presets on the Pocket Master. Really impressed with it and it's been perfect for silent practice last night and today, a total bargain, see pics below 😃 John Quote
lemmywinks Posted March 27 Author Posted March 27 Crazy bit of kit isn't it? I've been living at my mum's recently as she's just had a hip replacement, I also had 30 songs to learn for a dep gig a foolishly agreed to do. Just stuck the Pocket Master case (has earbuds and a USB cable) in my bass gigbag and have a full, silent practice rig ready to go in a few seconds that doesn't involve aux or power cables. Just plug the bass/earbuds in and get going. 1 Quote

MichaelDean Posted May 25 Posted May 25 I just got one of these for my birthday. I've had a 30 minute play and it seriously sounds great to me. Super easy to dial in something for practice. Not tried it with a guitar or NAM profiles yet, but I really don't see the need to do so immediately. I'm a little curious about making a NAM capture of my Digbeth head though just to see what that would be like. 1 Quote

MichaelDean Posted yesterday at 13:22 Posted yesterday at 13:22 Doesn't seem to work with my Pixel 9a. It says the Android version for the app is incompatible with my phone. I wonder why they've not gone through the Play Store for the Android app... Quote
