Randy_Marsh Posted June 1, 2009 Share Posted June 1, 2009 On my Warwick the input jack is a bit loose. A problem that seems to crop up a fair bit with warwicks apparently. Anyway, does anyone know if theres are cables out there that lock into the jack (if you get me) or what type of jack i should replace it with, the ones on Conklins look pretty beasty Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The planet waves cables have a little flanged/sprung section that grips into jack sockets. Some people moan that they stretch their jack sockets and ruin them, but those people are insane. allighatt0r Posted June 1, 2009 Share Posted June 1, 2009 Monster cables have slightly enlarged jacks (Oo-er missus!) but also have the jack bending/loosening reputation... you may be able to take the jack out and slightly bend the long tab that holds the plug in so that it holds it more firmly? I use a couple of Monster cables and thought they've been a lovely snug fit in my Warwick Thumb BO for years, I find that other leads now feel quite wobbley and insecure in the socket.
