Very cool Ampeg B15

Ok, I’ve got an old SVT (this will be buried with me) and a new one of those mini stack things (for a practice amp). They both have loud fans. I’d love a B15 but can’t justify it (and that’s coming from a guy with 12 basses and no gigs…) My point was that all Ampegs are cool.

What would be considered the ultimate Ampeg amp, in your experiences

I’ve only ever had the SVT II and the II pro I have the preamp rack mount versions of them too I’m a little more for the II it’s simpler and has something… but they’re both fantastic

I think any of the 300w valves for you for headroom and more punch. luxury would be a skunk works most likely but rare and expensive 😄

You could buy one of my SVT’s though it’ll certainly blow your socks off if you use the same volume settings as the V-4B probably knock the front rows innards sideways too 🤔

Quick ampeg question, I was looking the Ampeg SVT 2 Pro but I don’t like the front panel where the slots are for the bolts at the ends , do they do anything to cover these or a housing that looks good

I haven’t seen anything I guess you could put a rubber grommet in, they’ve never bothered me to be honest, I’ve got a few rack cases for mine, I prefer them out and naked though 😄
