Ibanez RS940 Fretless £600 Hatfield

Further reduction to £500 - I've seen them sell for a little short of a grand.

 

Recently acquired...I shouldn't have bought it really. I struggle with lined fretless so I have no chance with this unlined. I've given up already. 

Previous owner had it in a cupboard for the previous 30years. Mick Karn fan.

I've had it looked at and work done. The work cost me £110 (see photo), not including a new set of Status tapewounds. Bass is nearly 40 years old and the paint is showing it's age. No problem if you like a relic'ed finish. 

Bass is all original except for new knobs (matching) and new brass nut. 

Needs a home where it will be loved, cherished and used.

Comes with tatty OHSC (no handle) new handle obtained from eBay.

There are a couple of things I want to get my hands on but I've promised not to buy in cash - need to sell something first.

This is now ridiculously inexpensive - proper bargain. I know of these selling for a little short of £1k. 

Remember this includes the well used OHSC, handle missing but clean inside.

I owned an Ibanez Musician, unlined fretless back in 1990. Never played Fretless before I found it the easiest of basses to play. This is looking better each day!

I have taken the plunge and put my hand in my pocket and bought the item I was after. The need for a "quick sale" 🤣🤣😂 nolonger a priority.
