Time to clear some stuff again as I really don't use this crazy double bass !!!

FOR SALE OR (PARTIAL) TRADE BASED ON THE NEW RETAIL PRICE (€3400 EUROS) :

BERNE Harpobasse 4 with peg, stand, original soft case and external Schertler Stat Pre !

Amazing double bass based on a harp top, so pulling it instead of pushing it, with a nice warm tone when played acoustically, not as powerful as a 3/4 "normally" made double bass, but way much more louder than an acoustic bass. Once it's plugged, you have the double sound, just a bit mellower because of the 1/8 medium tension strings. That said with some Schertler Velvet Blue strings, it's really terrific. A different approach to a classic instrument that is really working.

No shipping as I don't have any hard case for it.

      Asking price : £1300 GBP or €1500 Euros !!!
A new one would cost you more than three times the asking price if you order it today with the same specifications, in fact it will cost €3400 Euros.

PayPal payment (Friend payment or fee covered), bank transfer (IBAN and BIC codes provided, so no fee) or cash on collection.

In fully working condition, but this double bass has been touring a lot so it has some scars, dings and scratches : look at the pictures !

      Here are the specifications :

Scale : 34 inches (or 1/8 double bass)
Strings spacing at nut : 9 mm
Strings spacing at bridge : 20 mm
Action : 5 mm under the E string at 12th position
Strings : Savarez Corelli 350 C Medium 1/8 Tungsten (new)
      Tuners :  black Gotoh
Bridge : height adjustable ebony original Berne
      Pickup : Schertler Basik Reso
      Neck : mahogany
      Fretboard : cormier black epoxied
Dots : 22 side dots +  mother of pearl bigger sides dots at 5th, 7th, 9th and 12th position
      Nut : ebony
Body brace and back : mahogany
      Top : spruce
      Tailpiece : cormier
      Land of craftsmanship : France
      Weight : 4.2 kilograms
External preamp : Schertler Stat Pre

Will come with the official well used soft case, the stand and the external Schertler Stat Pre.

      Non smoking environment as usual.

The bass has been fully set up professionally by Christophe LEDUC and it will now accomodate 3/4 length D'Addario/NS Design strings which is quite useful.

What you see is what you get !

Look at the pictures to see the real condition.

Don't hesitate to ask for more.
