This used to be mine, and it is 100% the best bass I have ever played, with a B that shames Dingwalls.

If I didn’t have medical issues that meant I needed a super light bass I would have been buried with it.

Good luck with the sale!

Great instrument man, selling, because I need 6 string now, otherwise I'll keep it, cheers.

How is the string height and adjustability on the bridge? (To see if it is a candidate to became fretles...;) )

Nice bass!... out of interest, what is the exact weight?

My question too!

Ignore that - I've found Fretmeister's original 2018 FS post and he stated it as being "9lbs +/-"

EDITED TO FIX BROKEN PHOTO LINKS

Can’t believe I’m doing this, but my back is knackered.

For Sale: Marleaux Consat Custom 5 string.

I’ve owned it since 2012 and I’ve played it in jazz and big band ensembles. It has the finest low B or any bass I have ever played, including Dingwalls.

      34 scale, 45 mm nut. It’s 9lb +/- and well balanced.
Delano pickups with a blend and a 3 band EQ that can be switched to passive. As it happens I prefer it passive.
Ebony board. You will notice that some photos show fret markers and some don’t... they are little removable stickers. Took me ages to line them up! Drove me nuts!

      Specs are here: https://www.marleaux-bass.com/marleaux-bass_consat_custom.html

There is is an extra strap lock position on the rear of the bass for use with double shoulder strap systems.

If you bought one new today you wouldn’t get much change from £3000

I'm in Northants. I would prefer collection. I make a mean cup of tea for anyone who wants to try it.

      £1750 Ono.

      PRICE DROP to £1650.00

      PRICE DROP £1550.00

PRICE DROP TO £1250.00 collection only

FORGOT TO SAY: It will come with a Mono Vertigo gigbag. (£200 RRP)

TRADES: I'd consider a trade for a nice lightweight Precision. Nothing active, just something that will sound old and thumpy with some flats on it.

This beautiful Marleaux Sopran bass in fantastic condition. Created with Marleaux hand-crafted care, tuned an octave up from standard, has a beautiful piano-like quality to each note. Can be used with an octave pedal to achieve standard bass tones (though works best with a high quality unit).
Incredibly good fun, light and extremely easy to play, it's quite addictive really and so easy to carry around.
The original gig bag (Warwick Rockbass with Marleaux branding) is included in the sale, as are the hex keys.
      Carefully sourced wood: http://www.regio-tone-wood.com/

Reluctantly putting up my beloved Marleaux Votan for sale. The best bass I've ever played. Only selling because im a Jazz-bass man with small hands and sausage-fingers and the Votan is a bass for real men. Absolutely even fretboard with zero dead-spots and it can sound P-bass, MM or Jazz on steroids. Mint condition. Only been used on a few live shows but mostly in my home. Two small dings in the wood. But at least one i think is a natural one in the wood. I'm based in Sweden. I will answer any further questions in PM. Can provide YouTube-links and sound-samples. 2012 build, im the only owner.
Comes with a gig-bag and i can ship if it's required.

I’m selling my marleaux Betra lined fretless.
it’s one of the first marleaux Betra produced around 1990, according to Marleaux himself.
mahogany body with maple top and ebony fretboard.
It has PJ Bartolini pickups and passive electronics.
I sell it just because I don’t play fretless no more.
      It comes with OHSC

      Hi guys,

Here for sale a wonderful Marleaux Consat Signature 6 String, which I bought some months ago from the best bass player in our country. 🙂 I am not sure of the exact year (I didn't check with Mr Marleaux), but I am guessing it is around 2004.

It was his main bass for 5 years, but an year ago the guy ordered a new Consat 6 strings, so I got this one in order to check it 🙂 That bass has absolutely wonderful sound and has no issues.
Why I am selling it: (I guess you know my story, but if not...) - I love checking different bass guitars, which I buy for my wife (she plays bass), but at the end she always prefers her Consat 4, and so I put back the basses I bought for sale. I usually sell on the price I bought...or often below 🙂

The price included the shipping to UK

      Here are the specifications:

Walnut body with poplar burl top
      3 piece flamed maple neck
      Ebony fretboard with 24 frets
      6 point bolt-on
      Matching Headstock
      Scale: 34
      Black Hardware by Schiller
      Active/passive switchable 3 band EQ
      Sound: detailed, boutique, individual
      Electronics:
      Marleaux “Programable” 3 band EQ
      2 humbucker pick-ups from Delano

      Comes with original gigback Marleaux
