Hi All,

This may not be porn to those who don't like stingrays, but this does it for me. Just arrived today and thought i'd share it.

I Have a bit of a thing for Musicman basses, so i'll post some more on the Musicman porn thread, but thought this deserved its own.
They're not really my thing those BFR's (the HH ones are nicer IMO), but damn if i'm not impressed! As long as you like it, that's all that matters, right? How does it sound?
Maybe in my head, but it seems a bit more focused in the bottom end, and a bit more sparkly in the top end. I have a 20th Anniversary and I felt the same about that.... probobly just the expectation against cost?

Know what you mean with the HH , no control plate, which looks stunning, but IMHO a Stingray only needs one pickup,...... each to thier own.
i do prefer the look of a single pickup standard ray, but that control plate doesn't look right to me without a pickguard...
Is it mahogany bodied?
Ash body, mahogany tone block, 1000 year old redwood top, mohogany (gloss) neck (my first on an MM bass), and a real nice rosewood board.

Painted black back, behind the cream binding.... looks real nice.... stroke of genius, would have been very easy to ruin the top with a competing
back...
