BreadBin
I was looking at that earlier, it has a definite whiff of Nanyo about it.

alyctes
Are these any good? I like the reverse 'burst on the four, but I don't need it and wouldn't play it. OTOH, the fiver might be more my thing. Edited November 4, 2018 by alyctes
Bassassin
They're OK. I remember Maison as a decent midrange MIK brand from the ealy 90s. Had quite a nice time noodling on one of these at a party a few years back, nice player. Couldn't get much of an idea of how it sounded, through a little practice amp & accompanying haze of alcohol.
alyctes
Thanks. Might be a decent buy then...
Guest MoJo
I had two, a fretted four and a fretless four. I used the fretted bass as my main player for many years. Pretty light and a decent sound
prowla
It'd be really cool if the outer body was translucent... ...but how do you string them?

It’s been a long time, but I believe the E and A strings wind round the posts counter clockwise and the D and G, clockwise

So they're all supposed to be reversed compared to normal.

BreadBin
The maison is actually slightly different, however the 'strings in a straight line from the nut' look is still desirable.
shug
Yup. I fancy I'd string it like that or you'd end up with a right old dog's breakfast.
