My new Telecaster (Not really)

Recommended Posts

Here is my first attempt at building a tele,

I made it from a kit of parts from Gear4music, there were a few issues like the bridge which I changed for a 6 saddle one.

Works much better than the crap it came with. My thanks go to Davie (Kodiakblair) for making me a headstock template

as the kit came with a paddle. The pickups are surprisingly good through my 1 watt (valve) Blackstar

I will change them but I'm making the Les Paul version now.....

The action is low without any nasties, not bad for £80 +£15 for a rattle can..

(I know the G string is not under the retainer)

Do let us know how it turns out - I've been thinking of putting together a Telemaster-style thing with mini-humbuckers.

I know what you mean, have you lost your way and ended up here? xD

To be fair I've made 3 basses too, all weighing 6.1 lbs each :D
