Lets face it, there is never such thing as a 100% faultless musician - even if you had Buddy Rich on drums, there would still be a problem. Aside from him being dead of course.

And the rest, by reputation !

All of them!!!, I'm the guy the other side of the pillar!, I've spent so long standing behind them at gigs that even when I go to watch bands I just magnetise to it and stand looking at the pillar all night, sometimes they have posters on the entertain me if I'm lucky :D

My question is, when a drummer miss hits and stalls for the microsecond that feels like a lifetime, do you......

This line has caused so much grief in this thread

So, are we are talking a BPM of 10 ?

Before this goes too far and gets misunderstood, in my 4 and a half years in the U.K., I have had the pleasure of being in a band and regularly playing with 4 quality drummers. I have never been in band and thinking, "I wish the drummer could get it together".

That's said, we all, myself especially, make slip ups.

My question is, when a drummer miss hits and stalls for the microsecond that feels like a lifetime, do you

A: keep time and hope the drummer catches up

B: time your next note to fall with the next kick drum/snare/
Symbol and hope the guitars cotton on and shift back into line.

Reason I ask, I find myself doing both of these at times, but sometimes whichever one I do feels wrong. Ultimately, it's live music, and we plough on, I'm just curious to know how you all manage this!!

Get used to it pal, believe me! ;)

And option A, always option A :)
