tom1946 Posted October 15, 2016 Share Posted October 15, 2016 (edited) Hi guys, here is my next bass for sale (there are several more) I had the black dirnt body with the star on the top bout and I discovered that I had a Squuier maple Telecaster neck that's arrow straight so I fitted it together. Along with some half decent tuners, some quality pots and a Seymour Duncan hot SPB-1 pickup this has turned into a really good bass with a very low action right along the neck. It sounds thunderous and is very easy to play. The bridge is a decent high mass jobby. Weight is 8.1 lbs, nut width is about 44mm. Can't go wrong for £175 with free UK delivery. Part of the evidence is that it says PRECISION on the headstock . As Jono rightly pointed out, it's from a CV 50's Precision. In this case, maple board on maple neck (now discontinued, replaced by White Blond). Folks call these a Telecaster headstock, but it's actually the original early 50's headstock style. This headstock style was brought back into production around '67 with the release of the Telecaster bass. Since then it's been used on all sorts of basses.
