GazWills
That's a pretty good summary of my experience also. The blend really helps and the phaser is on the subtle side. I find that it compliments my tone versus becomes my tone. I really like it. They are expensive, but, if you shop around, you can find them used at a more reasonable cost. That's what I did and paid much less than $300.00 US. In fact there are a couple on evilbay right now for about $250.00 US.
still prety pricey for my needs, but each to their own - i think a phase 45 sounds just as good for the subtle thing on bass, but way cheaper... GazWills
MP pedals do sound nice though, had the deep blue delay for a while, for short delays it was immense

pantherairsoft
After the huge clear out, I have stuck with the following… It does all I need, with the only other sounds coming from the Overdrive section of my EBS Fafner head…. TC Electronics Polytune EBS Unichorus Boss DD-20 Delay Patched together with George L's, on a Pedal Train Mini, Powered by a Diago Powerstation. Simple, effective, light, etc etc etc Shep
cheddatom
Nice. I recently got a DD-20 and i've been struggling a little. Probably because I didn't take the time to learn it with guitar or bass before adding it to my drum pedalboard. Anyway, do you find the tap tempo function OK? Mine reacts ok to differences in tempo of tapping, but the tempo of the delays don't bear much relation to the tempo of the tap.

I love the pedal, but use the 2 headed tape delay and the Warp setting the most… This was my first Tap Tempo delay pedal so I don't have much to compare to.When using it at rehearsal, if I tap a solid rhythm along with whats being played then start playing it does react in time with the music, but not in the sense of one foot tap per delay so to speak. Almost like the delay is double time to the tap. I do find it easier to get my hear around when you change the display from Milisec's to BPM! Excellent, i'll give that a go. At the moment it's as though it's going at 3 times the speed of my tapping, or something like that.

I personally don't have a DD-20, but I've fiddled with one for a good long while and as long as I had the TEMPO thing set to a crotchet (quarter note, call it what you will ) the delay time was equal to the tap tempo. And, of course, you can set it to quavers (two delays per tap) or triplet quavers (three delays per tap). That's the beauty of the beast! Dotted notes are always a good one with delays.
