Dudly01
Greetings everyone! I’m Szűcs András (Andrew), 22 years old. I play the bass since 6th grade of primary school. I’ve tried many different instruments before like percussion, flute and classical guitar but nothing sticked to me like playing bass guitar. I study as an electrical engineer at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. I’m in my 6th semester and hopefully I’ll get my BSC next semester. I specialize in embedded- and computer based systems. The finals are just ahead so wish me luck . Bandwise I play in a Jam Band. Our profile is inviting renowned musicians –be singers and/or istrument players- to play with us. We only discuss the songs and the key but we don’t reherse with the guest artist and here comes the jamming part of it . We have to keep a keen eye on each other when to solo, change pace or to end the song. These jam sessions are important elements of bringing quailty live music to rural regions (as we are not in the capital) where good live shows are not so common these years unfortunately Some gigs (wasn't able to embed properly): I'm grateful I could join this community and hope I can learn from you and be a constructive member. In spite of that, I’m mostly a passive forum reader, I often read discussions but rarely comment. Cheers, Andrew Edited May 21, 2016 by Dudly01
Dad3353
Good evening, András (Andrew), and ... [sharedmedia=core:attachments:167528] ... to the forum. Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share. There are many here from the Continent (I'm in France, for instance...), so you are far from alone. To have embedded video work, you should remove the 's' from the 'https' at the start of the link. That's what I've done here for your first one... http://youtu.be/3R1yXi_qDMg We also have a specific sub-forum for sharing band videos, here ... Live photos and videos... Be sure to read and comply with the Pinned first post, which explains how to keep the forum running at its best. Hope this helps...

For the time being I'll keep these vids only here (won't post in live photoes/videos) as I just wanted to introduce myself . Thanks guys for your kind words yet again. Dudly01
Brilliant idea, the jam band, and I like its name too.
Thank You Baldwin. There was a Battle of Bands like competition here, where at the end, musicians from different bands grouped up to play the ending gig at this festival. We decided to stay together and to form a band, this is where the Jamb Band part originates from. I suggested to call ourselves Strawberry Jam Band but that was taken already as it turned out (and others didn't think it was witty ). But during the gig all of us had a good kind of facial expression, hence the name True Smile Jam Band.
