Hi Guys,
Ive been using Chrome flat-wounds and really love the sound but was wondering if there are other alternatives.

I use the 40 -100 set for a balanced tension and brightish sound.

Are there other brands out there that give this brighter sound with a medium to high tension.

Thanks.

I settled on a set of Steve Harris flats in the end.

They were not my first choice and when I first installed them I thought I had made a BIG mistake.
They were very stiff and sounded 'wrong'... BUT after 3 months and some neck and pickup adjustments they sound HUGE.
The tension is high and you need good finger strength to play them at speed. I use a pick and play in a folk / acoustic group with a Tic Tac sound that cuts through the acoustic guitars and vocals.
