Someone who knows the Japanese scene slightly told me it might be a local bespoke make unknown outside of Japan. While there, I found the greatest brand name ever. Up yours, Fender, I want one of these. I realise this doesn't help in the slightest. You could try searches on some of the Japanese retail sites, sort by highest price first.
