Pestie Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 (edited) Here is my very lovely 2005 CIJ Fender Precision in Fiesta Red with Tortie scratch plate very much like the one that Pino plays. The bass has a Jason Lollar Custom 64 pick up in it and it sounds amazing. It is set up fairly low and plays really nicely with no rattles or buzzes. It has a few minor marks on the bottom of the body but nothing that is a problem. The neck is free of any dings and the frets are hardly marked. All in all it is really nice looking, sounding and playing bass. I'm having a clear out so it has to go. I don't want any trades thank you, I really do need to thin out. You are more than welcome to come along and give it a try out. I live near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire. I am happy to ship at the buyers expense. Thanks for looking. Pestie Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 Hey Rich, I could probably sort something out
bass-a-licious Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Do you have pics of the front and back of the headstock? Thanks.
Pestie Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 No, sorry I don't. I just assumed it was Alder but I really didn't give it any thought.

yondergo Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I have a 2007 cij P bass in the same finish which has a basswood body, I thought the alder bodies were used on the US pickup containing models, but I may be dead wrong. Nice bass, love mine to bits, GLWTS!

smaz Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015
As I see from your Photobucket pics this is Chinese Classic Vibe pb...
That photo is the headstock of another bass (a Modern Player Jazz), just in the same bucket.
Pestie Posted August 19, 2015 Author Posted August 19, 2015 We appear to have some confusion here. This post is for my CIJ 60's RI Fender Precision in Fiesta Red. I don't understand what the two above posts are referring to! Mike (Pestie)
FunkyFresh Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 (edited) When clicking on a pic in your initial post, it redirects to your Photobucket. There are two photos of two different headstocks, one is Chinese and one is Japanese. That is where the confusion kicks in. The chinese seems to be a red PJ. And there is a sunburst as well. Edit: Sunburst is a japanese JB Lyte, Chinese is a Modern Player Shortscale. This one up here needs a photo of the headstock posted to extinguish confusion. Edited August 19, 2015 by FunkyFresh
sellisnba Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 (edited) Mike If I'd have known you had this for sale before I bought my dog of a CV P I would traded my jazz and cash. Dam! Have a bump. Edited August 19, 2015 by sellisnba
Pestie Posted August 19, 2015 Author Posted August 19, 2015 Hi Nige. That's real shame mate because this is a beauty. I didn't like to mention it when you came because you had just bought the CV. Cheers Mike
Radchenko Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I'm interested. Without thumb rest and the cover of the bridge. One possibility is a change. Are you interested in a change for an Fender jp90 made in usa?. Thanks.
Pestie Posted August 20, 2015 Author Posted August 20, 2015 Thank you but I don't want any trades at the moment.
