How does the new Squier stack up against your Fender USA and Japanese instruments? By the way, the reason I bought my Squier Deluxe Jazz Active was I'd read that more than a few people (mostly over on Talkbass) said it blew away far more expensive basses!

Me likey a lot! I much prefer the tuners 4 and 1 too compared to 5 in a row Fender 5s, I like maple, I like blocks,I like jazz basses, I like oly white, I like 5 strings,I like black pickguards and I like chromes knobs....so it was in for a chance of me liking it! Lol

Love the block inlays. If I ever went for a 5 I'd probably go for this too or something very similar.

Yes true I do but it still keeps up with them in terms of feel and playability.

And just because it's a massive fraction of the price compared to my other two jazzes doesn't mean that it's terrible! As the neck has made it an easy jump from 4 to 5.

And just because I own a MIA and MIJ, I have been picking the Squier a whole lot more than the others.

Very nicely thankyou! It's obvisously less money than my fenders but playing it you wouldn't realise it as it feels 2x price it should be!! It's a beautiful playing bass!! And Im very happy with it!
