I got this off a bc'er a few months back and it's just.........lovely.
One or two little dings here and there but to me, it adds to its character!
Unfortunately, I need to raise funds for a new amp and cab.
I will supply it in a hard case.

I saw one in action yesterday, first sighting of a T40 for me in its natural habitat - sounded immense, and had lots of tones available from those pups. Most importantly, looked damn fine! GLWTS.

This is my old T40, traded a few months ago. I can vouch that it's a superb bass, great player, incredibly versatile and was in excellent condition for its age last time I saw it.

Good luck with the sale - I'd buy it back if I had the room, the money & a stronger back!

I've always fancied one of these basses and have read many articles where people say they are uncomfortably heavy so how much is heavy?. I have basses that are 12lbs and whilst it is a weight, I don't have any problems with them and they are comfortable to play. How does this one balance and do you know what the weight is?

TL/DR, it's 10.75 lbs but IMO the weight distribution might make it seem heavier than other basses of a similar bulk. However plenty of people don't find the weight a problem, and I do have a slightly dodgy back. Buy it & find out for yourself!

I don't find it any heavier than my Ricky, or an old p bass I tried!
I also think that the solidness adds to the tone and general .........., well............, solidness!, you know, feels like a proper, quality instrument.

They are heavy, but its nothing a wide strap can't cope with. Plus you forgive the a weight as soon as it makes a sound.

[/quote] I found my old one was a pain to pick up - but once it was strapped on it was so well balanced it actually wasn't a problem at all.
