Hi!

Up for sale is my Music Man Cutlass 1, made in -83 (year confirmed by serial number, stamps and pots).
Everything works as it should and it plays great.
It's been gigged and the body has some "battle scars" (worst nick seen at the bottom in one of the photos).
The neck is in great condition though and there's lots of life left in the frets - as you can tell from the photos.
When pushing down on the first and last fret, the gap at the 12'th fret is a little bit too narrow for a credit card to fit, so there's a nice reliefe for low action.
It weighs 4.3 kg, on my digital bathroom scale.
Hardcase is included.

Let me know if you have any questions and more photos are available on demand.

I accept payment in other currency than £.

I might trade for the right 5 string.

You'll find my feedback here: http://basschat.co.u...k-for-jenswest/

Thank you for your interest!

Stingray button pushed, graphite button pushed, modulus button pushed, is there any reason other than the wife why I shouldn't buy this bass?

No

Good job I'm not going to be on the train between Stockholm and Gavle any time soon, I would be in serious trouble :gas:
Good luck with the sale.

Ah, so you know your way around here? :)
I was born in Gavle, actually.
If the bass is still here next time you're around, you are very welcome to stop by and try it out.

Silly question, but is this a possible Leo's input one? I'm not up to scratch on when he left MM etc so sorry if the question comes off as silly. Lovely bass!

I believe Leo left MM in -79, but it's a pre-EB. :)

This is well after Leo, not far from the eventual demise of Music Man as a company in 1984, but the basses actually got a bit better after Leo departed. Allegedly.

Relatively few of these basses were ever made, hence their rarity and high desirability. A very special bass at a very fair price .

Yes. I've read that only about 400 were made.

Do want. Cannot afford :(

For those not aware, this is one of the rarest, coolest basses on the planet. GLWTS!

I'd lie if I'd say that I weren't having second thoughts about this.
If I'd regret selling it, I imagine that it'd take quite a while before I'd find another one.

There were rumoured to be 600 Cutlass I made and 300 Cutlass II.

I'm still looking for one with low action.

Ok.
I can't confirm, nor disprove that number, but 400 is what I've read on several places and never 600. :)

You wouldn't be disappointed by this one, I believe. :)
