Happy Jack Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) For various reasons I now need to sell a few basses. This is a concept that I am struggling with, since normally I am buying rather than selling, and of course I don’t really want to sell anything at all. Hmmmm. How to decide what goes and what stays? Easy. Ask the market. I’m listing eight basses, none of which I actually want to sell. Whatever goes first will go, and once I have raised the necessary dosh I will de-list the rest. At the risk of stating the blindingly obvious, I’m trying to raise money rather than trade basses. I’m also well aware that money’s too tight to mention (damn! I mentioned it) so I won’t be offended by offers. The basses are available to try and/or collect at my studio in Acton W3. I have no problem with posting them, but I always think it makes far more sense (along with being far more sociable) to come and try before you buy. ****************************** STATUS Graphite Vintage PJ4 (2010) Semi-hollow Precision with graphite neck – the neck never needs adjusting, the bass barely needs tuning. Enormous punch to the sound. Very cool styling. Immaculate condition. It’s not really a hollow-body, despite the f-hole. Hiscox hard case. £800 http://s1128.photobu...02010%20CURRENT Edited August 17, 2014 by Happy Jack
FunkyFresh Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Very beautiful, No trades, so bad for me but GLWTS!
Billy Apple Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 How come it's telling me the photo album is private?
Happy Jack Posted July 8, 2014 Author Posted July 8, 2014 I tried listing the albums and it allowed access to all my photos. I tried making them private and it wouldn't let anyone see anything. So now I'm trying making the individual albums public. Technology. I love it.
lou24d53 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Lovin' the look of this. Sadly no funds to accommodate, but GLWTS.
karlfer Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Jack, very interested, but couple of questions please. Thought these were all active, yet this looks to be passive? Is that how it was made, custom order? What is the nut width please as I believed these were standard jazz, but P nut width available as an option. I had James Stelfox's (Starsailor) and should never have sold it . Cheers, Karl.
Happy Jack Posted July 8, 2014 Author Posted July 8, 2014 Definitely passive and always has been. The controls are Pan / Volume / Tone. I honestly don't know whether this was a custom order, but I'm pretty sure you get these in either active or passive at the time. The nut is 1 5/8ths.
ryancowell25 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 If i'm not mistaken this used to belong to me at one point a while back Its an absolutely cracking bass, the perfect combination of old school aesthetic and new school engineering
martthebass Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Very beautilicious HJ....as with the rest of the community, skint as a flint!
