I'm a big fan but I'm very poor at it myself. My son plays some banjo in his gypsy-folk-dub band Euphony. He's got an Ozark of some kind with a closed back.

I'm planning on sticking at it, but I imagine it's going to be a hard trip to even learn the basics!

If you're going to stick with it you should commission a Bongo Banjo Bass!!

So I just bought a banjo, it's a Barnes and Mullins Jasmine, at the minute I feel really intimidated. But even just twiddling about playing duelling banjos on it is awesome. It's so addictive to play!

Any other banjo enthusiasts on here?

It's all fun and games until some hillbilly tells you that you've got a pretty mouth...

Another here who plays a bit of 5 string.

Only a very little bit mind, but good fun nonetheless !

I also dabble with 6-string, and mandolin, which makes for some 'interestiing' chord variations...
