Today isn't strictly a new bass dayy as it's due for collection today but I just got some pics of the finished bass and am quite excited!

Just look at that Black Limba top :gas: and all that delicious ebony fingerboard :gas:

*Like* :-)
Fretless 5 gets my vote anyway; never played an ACG but that does look rather quality!
[/quote]

:D

I'd recommend trying one matey, Alan makes seriously good basses!

Gets my vote too - And I already have an AGC fretless fiver :)

Mine really sings with the ACG 01 pre, I'd be interested to hear your opinion of the 3 band, Andy

:D I already have an ACG 5'er (custom Recurve SC Classic with the 03 pre) so am very curious to meet a graft and compare the gubbins! I fancied a simpler pre on the fretless still with some control over mids but not in such an intense global way as with the custom ACG pre and I've heard really good and transparent things about the East stuff so wanted to give one a shot ;)

I've got the exact pre in my 6 string ACG, I don't think you'll be disappointed matey :)

I shall hold you and TPJ entirely responsible (well not entirely but possibly a little bit) matey! You for encouraging the ACG obsession (scoopitis) and TPJ for showing me the East pre on his Warmoth... :D

The courier pulled one out of the bag (literally) and it was here by the time I got into the office at 9!

S T O P !

No more images of ACG basses, or chat of preamps for them, or anything for that matter about ACG or Alan !

Ah....The GAS is killing me for a pre to go in my ACG and a also an ACG fretless.

OK I've calmed down ;)

Lovely bass Andy :envy:

this one's got an amazing East 3 band pre in it rather than the most awesome ACG 03 that's in my custom 5'er B)

Looks great that.

It's Friday surely you can claim time off on religious grounds. Or better still still a medical emergency......GAS.

Edit.

I thought I recognised that body, it was going to be mine until Alan waved the Dirty Ash J Type at me...

I have 'technically' done enough hours this week so I'll be trying to sneak off as early as I can...

Hey, looks really nice and the prices seem reasonable for a new British made bass B), I'll have to get a go on one at some point!!

You're welcome to try mine if you're ever in Sheffield matey...
