My birthday is coming soon, so I was thinking of getting this book:

Standing in the Shadows of Motown: The Life and Music of Legendary Bassist James Jamerson (book and CD)

Anyone got it and if so is it accurate/any good etc?
Many thanks in advance for your replies.

It's brilliant. Great material for reading practice. It is very accurate but the parts are not complete so you will often get an intro, verse and chorus and then a fade or even just a riff here and there but, overall, a really useful resource and it gives you massive insight into JJ's style. Highly recommended (and I 'kin hate Motown ;))
