Major move (back) / major sell-off

Damn... the man seems to get more bumps and praise than sales :)

A big +1 from me with regard to Dave's integrity. I just know I'm going to regret passing up one or two of Dave's treasures; just like I regret selling the Zon that I got from him!

I'm sure we'll speak before you go Dave but all the best to you and your family in the move
Aha - I think I sussed it (?)

Paul, I would highly recommend it: education is both cheap and very good (both local and internationalschools/colleges + Singapore University). English is the first language (of both education and Govt. plus the major newspapers and TV) - although you'll find that most Singaporeans tend to speak a second or third language (Mandarin plus other Chinese dialects, Bahasa Malay, Tamil / other Indian dialects). Climate takes some getting used to: it's in the mid 30's virtually all year . which seems nice; but the relative humidity is constanly in the 90's - that's the 'killer'.
:) Aye, you got it. Sorry for being unclear.

Ah, yes, I'm not good with humidity, but perhaps I could acclimatise. I know the National Uni is considered one of the best in the world for technology, and at about a fourth of the price of Western competitors. And the growth in perceived quality since only the previous year is astounding. I like the idea of maybe moving over, staying, and getting a Literature degree one day.

Anyway, it sounds exciting, and I wish you all the best. Glad to hear that you'll stay on BC and keep us updated.

paul.

Another humbling 'Thanks Guys' re. + comments from Steve (Birdy), Keir (Dub J) and John (W'kHunt): I should add that with all these guys (and, previously Mick/macko68 & Chris/Ped) - plus others on the Forum - that it takes-two-to-tango in respect of all the deals & communication mentioned (!!).

I'd just like to add that David has been a pleasure to deal with in the past. He was more than understanding when the Post Office managed to loose my cheque to him, and trusted that I was serious buyer and not messing him about.

The Pedulla Buzz I bought off him BTW is my favourite bass that doesn't say "Gus" on the headstock!

That Peavey B-quad looks fantastic. I played a fretted version which was great, definitely an underrated and 'undiscovered gem'. I think the necks are made by Modulus, though I can't remember for sure (they certainly have the same appearance as the modulus 'flake' effect)

Thanks Ped (again) - and BRx / Waldo - the BQ4 is quite special (particularly in the hands of Brian Bromberg for/with whom it was developed). You could be right about the origin of the neck .. but it also has the polymer (?) finish, similar to that on the Pedulla MVP 'Buzz' basses; so it really 'sings'. There's no truss rod but it does have the micro-tilt. It works great as a 'standard' fretless with plenty of the desired 'mwwahhh' but also has the Piezo pickup which can be used independently or mixed with the Mag-p/ups. Plus the panning effect (rear adjustable, as are the piezos) which you can hear on BB's early/solo albums. When I get the photos up you'll see it has a stereo/mono output and a series of 8 holes in the rear cover.I don't think there are many of the white/fretless models about (!).

... I'd forgotten all about that (!... which was why I mentioned possibly adding a buch of stuff to the 'bits/parts' section..) but it should still be in the attic: in the original box/packaging of the replacement, so hopefully OK.
I'll check asap (both that it's there and that it's still OK) and PM you.

I've added some more links to individual basses (on the list/initial post) + listed these under their own heading.
Hope to get the remaining links completed today/tomorrow.
Lots of interest!.. but only the Ashbory currently on-hold.

OK .. I thinkI've managed to add all the links (original LIST/post) to individual items - either advertised here, or in Amps etc., or in Bass Porn ... including he Bassix eub (for which I'd forgotten to add photos).

Currently the ASHBORY and SKJOLD are on-hold (awaiting receipt or clearance of funds).

It's 5p. Listings day on ebay ! Taking advantage of this, managed to get most of this stuff on .. at a cost of only 60p.!
I dropped a few prices to encourage bidding, so will adjust the list / posts here to reflect that.

* I've dropped the price on a few of these as listed on ebay (any really that had <15 'Watchers') .. but won't have time until, possibly, this evening to adjust the original listing (here) and each individual listing.
If there's anything of serious interest you'll need to PM me so I can discuss/arrange prior to any bids and/or the final 12-hours.

Update / 'long-shot' : I'm having to visit London on Monday (19th) for Meeting & Embassy visit, so - if there's anybody based in/near the capital and want to confirm a buy, I could bring an instrument with me (as I've decided to drive down late Sat/early Sun).
Looks like I'll definitely be dropping-off the Modulus Flea in Luton.
Confirmed sales only: can't afford the time & effort for testing/trying I'm afraid, as it'll be a case of squeezing-in as much as I can with 250-300 miles in each direction and 4-6 hours (each way) driving.
