JamieMillsBass Posted May 25, 2012 Share Posted May 25, 2012 Hi guys, I recently had a set of EMG 35DC's and a BQS pre-amp installed by a friend who is an electrical engineer. All sounds fine and seemed to be working fine, untill I plugged into my tuner. Its jumping about between notes like crazy with seemingly no noise whatsoever coming from the guitar. Happens on both tuners so its not a fault there, anyone got any ideas what this could be caused by? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

[/quote] I'll try that when I get home, although one of the tuners I'm refering to is the tuner that comes with amplitube through logic, the other is a korg. I have a 5 string with the same model of pickups in it (although it has no pre-amp) where there is no issue. I'm bemused, will give your suggestion a go when I get home and report back! iiipopes Posted May 30, 2012 Share Posted May 30, 2012 Try using the neck pickup with the volume and treble turned down somewhat and see what happens.
