Recommended Posts

I suspect a multitude of synth-style pedals aka the Deep Impact, EHX Bass Microsynth or alike would get you close. But if it's really synthy bass that you want, then I'd probably advocate getting a keys synth. For me its the real deal, much more flexible and IMO much more usable.

Yep, i agree with this also. It sounds totally out of place and adds nothing to the music. A nice funky sounding bass, Jazz or Stingray for example would had been far more effective.

[/quote] Can't say I have heard the original, but perhaps he was asked to emulate a synth bass. We don't always have 100% say.
