The Flanger has always had a kind of metallic sound to my ears, with Phasers always sounding a lot more "organic". I currently don't have a Flanger and have been asked to learn this for a gig, I'm having to use my Phaser but it does't sound as good as it does with my Dad's Boss BF-2B.
