1.
Not sure what strap you have there exactly, but normally the thicker end goes at the front (on the horn) and the thinner bit at the back, where a bit of excess doesn't stand out...
Some man , what a douche had it on the wrong way.
2. Apologies for my ignorance, but I decided to splash out on a fancy padded DSL strap, and I've never had one in this style before. Am I best to cut this excess below? Just want to check before getting the shears out, as it was expensive.
3. I use my LS-2 A+B, and have my SFX red dragon (OD) before my Swollen Pickle (Fuzz) through loop A, and keep a clean signal through loop B. Keeps my low end there and I can bring the level of loop A up to suit my needs.
4.
Have you tried putting new batteries in yet?
Not yet, but I shall source a new one tomorrow. Strange if it is the battery on the Stingray. Only had it for a few months. I have a Fender Jag which is active and when the battery is done on that, I get no output at all. Thought this would be the case on the ray.
5. I have an intermittent problem with my stingray where it will suddenly have this weird wet fuzz/delay effect through it. Only started happening recently and not got a clue what it may be. I have attached a sound clip demonstrating what the issue is. Any other bass is fine, so I've narrowed it down to the bass. Any help would be appreciated. 6. Anyone know of any cut-to-size patch cables? I think £5 per plug for the George L's and Lava's is an absolute rip off.
7. Only thing about the George L's is they are expensive. At around a 5er a plug, you're talking 11 a cable. I've got 8 pedals so it will be a sore one if I go for these. I could get another pedal for the price!!
8. Looking to buy some myself, so looking for some recommendations
9. Can anyone recommend any polish to use on a Rickenbacker, and any techniques? A bit apprehensive with it being a delicate bass, and looking for some advice on how to bring it back to life. Also got a chip on the neck lacquer which i'm hoping to sort out at some point.
10. I have a deluxe jag. Best thing for me is the neck, it plays so well. Plus they look stunning. Similar to a jazz in tone. I never use the in active mode, but when in use it gives a low and treble boost. As roonjuice has mentioned, they are quite noisy and I've had to put extra grounding. Especially noisy in active mode.
11. Selling a Fender Custom Shop 5.5M Tweed Cable straight jacks. http://www.guitargui...=11121513181458 Used once to test, so in effect brand new and still has original packaging. Bought it without thinking. Lead is too long for my setup and I need an angled jack at one end for my pedal board. So money recovered from this will be going towards this; http://www.guitargui...=11121513165158 Looking for £14 which includes postage. ***Sold on another site***
12.
its the same just smaller. Ive had two red dragons and they excel in the low gain OD field.
What about the mid switch?
13. Saw this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ThX61ZzhVM) which is some sort of custom version of the SFX Red Drago and I really like the tone. How is this in comparison to the Micro SFX Red Dragon and is there anything better out there I should be looking at?
14. Well looks as though he is using this bad boy for starters
15.
By using pre, the sound engineer can't replicate any effects that you might have in the effects loop (assuming 'post' is post effects loop). So although you might hear your effects on stage through your own amp/cab monitoring, they won't out front. Obviously if you are using effects very early on on the signal chain then this is moot.
I was thinking about this too. If I use the AGS drive on my TH500, using pre I'd have it the drive tone on stage, but out front it would be clean.
16.
Most DI outs, even post-eq, will be pre-master so you should be able to adjust stage volume without affecting the DI feed to the FOH. One exception would be the LB30 which takes its DI from a tap off the output transformer.

PRE/POST: This will place the DI signal either pre or post EQ. • Pre: Your signal goes to the DI XLR output before your GAIN, AGS and EQ settings. Leave the switch out for this function. • Post: GAIN, AGS, EQ and MASTER settings will be sent to the DI XLR output jack. Push the switch in for this function.
Looks as though there is no option here according to the TH500 manual. Post eq; Gain and master sent to DI output meaning that it will affect the front.
17. To those who have this function on their amp. What is your preferred setup here; pre or post eq output to PA? Pondering on what setup to settle for. I like my stage tone to have a lot of highs and unsure how this is out the front. I have ran both but can't really decide on what is the best option (can't get out the front either ). Would you run it pre and adjust mixer eq as required or post and run the mixer relatively flat? Currently gigging with an Aguilar TH500 with a GS212. Just looking for some thoughts and experiences.
18. Have a like for the story, and a like for the pedal.
19. Must say, my 4003 has fallen out of favour, when used with my current set up. Much prefer the tone I get with my jaguar, and the ric has barely been out the case.
