1.
The Aguilar DB cabs have the best aesthetics in the business. Best thing is they sound brilliant.
The most impressive and important thing about them. But their beauty is an added bonus.
  2.
Lovely!!!
The Aguilar cabs are sooo pretty.
  3. Has anyone compared the OBT500 with an Aguilar TH500 or an Ampeg SVT 7-Pro? On the market for a class D hybrid to go through my Aguilar 2x12. Local music shop only has the Aguilar in stock according to it's website. I'll pop in and give that a shot
  4. Stunning bass. I'd have one in a minute. Although they have seriously went up in value the past few years. I have a 2004 limited edition 4003 and it cost me £1200. Now they are £1700+?

    Fuzz!
Tried one for a solid month and couldnt get on with it. Found it next to impossible to get a mix that was usable in a band situation. Thats mainly the reason I'm 'layering' fuzz units at the mo.
Even on it's own I thought it was excellent. Plenty of low end and tone versatility. But I always use my Boss LS-2 for blending my distortion/fuzz loop with my clean. I assume this is same as you when 'layering' as you put it. As you say, you can get a mix to work with, and adds depth to the overall fuzz tone.

    Fuzz!
Anyone tried the WH Swollen Pickle?
Managed to get a hold of one of these and played it tonight. Wow. Truely amazing fuzz pedal. Keeping it on my board for now.
  7.
I have had a lot of SVT's including the king the 2 Pro and I must say for weight/performance the 5 was the best.
I've tried the 3, but got the 5 relatively cheap. It seemed to be the least favourite from the range and ended up discontinued. Ah well, I don't care, I love mine .

    Chorus!
The DOD FX 62 Stereo Bass Chorus was a pedal I regret seliing and now fetch silly money on ebay. I replaced it with a DOD FX 65 Stereo Chorus which seemed as good although it was designed for guitar.and these can be had for a reasonable price.
